(1952- ) I was raised in the Amazon rainforest of northeastern Peru by American parents. My mother, an oil painter, singer and pianist, taught me piano. When we moved back to the U.S. in 1960, we lived in Mississippi (my mother's home state), Colorado (my father's home state), Washington state (Walla Walla) and finally settled in Kilgore, east Texas. I moved to New Mexico, U.S. in 1985.
